Iris Restaurant

We order from here all the time. We have had only one mediocre dinner and I previously reviewed that order as not very good. I was hoping that one time was just a fluke and I'm happy to say that our dinner tonight was exceptional. The salmon was pan seared to perfection, as usual. It was tender, moist, flavorful and absolutely delicious. It's better than any I've ordered from anywhere else, ever. The portion was beyond generous and I'm not talking about a thin filet. It was a thick, center cut of total perfection yummy! The broccoli was delicious too. I always skip the mashed potato. It's just not necessary.

The fisherman's platter was also exceptional this evening. It was a generous array of meaty pacific sea scallops and some impressive jumbo shrimp, large, plump-bellied sand free clams (big necks yes, but they were not tough) and a really fresh tasting piece of haddock. It was all nicely cooked and it was still hot upon arrival. The fries were well cooked and not soggy. Nearly impossible to achieve that result considering they are buried with a mound of onion rings under that delightful pile of seafood and fish, on foil, sealed in styrofoam, bagged and then driven 4 miles to our house.

Excellent healthy dinner. Cooked well freshly cooked scallops and asparagus and well prepared lightly sauced rice. I made 2 meals of it could have made 3. Iris excels in thir dinners. I am a 78 year old with disabilities with a severe sensitivity to soy. I would like more fresh meals like this but in varied portions small, medium and large. non gmo products a plus. I can't always prepare my own foods and Meals on Wheels is awful to me who has always relied on fresh foods.; I bet there are a lot of people like me. Who don't want pizza's and subs. I have never been disappointed by the fresh foods I receive from Iris.

The food was really good, inexpensive and delivered in a timely fashion. I was surprised that theres a veggie burger on the menu as my friend follows a pescatarian/vegetarian diet. We both demolished our sandwiches and I saved the Hawaiian dream smoothie for later. Which was really good because it was made with juice and not milk, so it didnt spoil. Very good food overall or maybe I was just REALLY hungry.

I wanted a change from traditional Chinese, Italian, or Indian food. I came upon Iris. The start of their listing just had snack food like hamburgers, and I wanted a full, healthy meal. I looked down further and found Pan Seared Scallops Entre, Chicken Kabob Entre, and Sauteed Shrimp Entre. I suppose these might be considered Greek. Anyway, they were delicious. I certainly will order from Iris again.

This restaurant has gone through a lot of hands (and names) since we've lived nearby, but it finally has found owners who really care about the food! Everything we ordered from them was super hot and fresh and tasty, even if it took a little longer. The people working there are extremely nice. The frappes and triple chocolate cake are truly spectacular. We will be coming back!
